App settings
App settings are the general preferences that are not tied to one feature: how Coldtea looks, a few behavior switches, and updates. Agent setup lives under Connect agents and Launch presets; cloud runs live under Cloud agent credentials.
Appearance
Coldtea's shell theme and the embedded editor's theme are set separately. The editor can follow the app theme, or import your active VS Code or Cursor theme and keep it in sync. So if the editor and shell look different, that is usually the imported editor theme doing its job. See editor for the theme sync.
Features
A few switches change how the app behaves:
- Global hotkey: a shortcut that brings Coldtea to the front from any app. If the combination does not register, another app already owns it; pick a different one.
- Hide when Coldtea loses focus: hides the window when you switch away. It stays disabled until you set a global hotkey, since that hotkey is how you bring the window back.
- Terminal activity cursors: floating cursors Coldtea draws over terminal activity, with separate toggles for agent-team cursors and normal terminal cursors.
- Open brews in a new tab: skips the replace-pane prompt so resuming or opening a brew never asks whether to replace the current pane.
Updates
The updater checks signed public releases and installs them when you are ready. There is no auto-install toggle: you drive the check, install, and restart yourself, so you decide when to restart. That matters if agents are mid-run.
