Setup

Setup connects your agents and configures the app. The one distinction to learn first: local CLIs authenticate in their own terminal pane (Claude is the exception, since Coldtea manages its login), while cloud and background agents store their credentials in Coldtea as an API key or a subscription.

If you want the guided path, first-run setup walks you through connecting your first agent. The pages here are the reference for each agent and each config screen.

Connect an agent

  • Connect agents: the local-versus-cloud model and the agent picker.
  • Claude Code: local accounts Coldtea manages, plus API key or subscription.
  • Codex: local sign-in in the pane, plus API key or ChatGPT subscription.
  • Gemini: local only, with no Coldtea connect screen.
  • OpenCode: local sign-in and cloud cliAuth on macOS and Linux.
