Start
Start here if Coldtea is open and you want to get from a repo to a useful first agent session.
This section keeps the first run small on purpose. You will install the app, open one project, launch one brew, and learn what each workspace surface is for.
Read in this order
- Overview — understand the local terminal model before setup.
- Install Coldtea — check the app, the repo, and the agent CLI.
- Your first brew — run one small job with a clear finish line.
- Workspace tour — learn the names for projects, panes, tabs, tasks, and worktrees.
What you need first
- A local Git repository.
- The Coldtea desktop app.
- At least one supported agent CLI installed on your machine.
- Provider auth for that agent.
- TeaHouse access only if you are using shared tasks or integrations.
Do not wire every integration before the first run. Prove the local loop first: open the repo, start a brew, review the result.
After the first brew
- Read the mental model if the workspace nouns still feel fuzzy.
- Read review agent work before trusting a branch.
- Read run parallel agents before starting more than one agent at once.
